And we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit — 1 Cor. 2:13 (RSV)

Worship Services

9 a.m. Contemporary Worship in the Family Life Center

Those attending the contemporary worship service may park in the lot just north of the church (past the sanctuary going away from downtown). Look for the signs for Contemporary Worship, which is held in the Family Life Center (FLC) that sits toward the back of the lot from Main Street. Bring wheeled devices as needed as the building is “wheel friendly.” When entering the FLC, you will cross the hallway into the gym where the worship will be held.  Refreshments will be available starting at 8:50 a.m. At the welcome table you may fill in a prayer card if desired and it will be colleced before the minister’s prayers. The order of worship will be projected on the screen during the service. Take any seat, or let a greeter/usher know if you need a seat with additional back support. Feel free to stay after the service for more refreshments, even as chairs are putaway so the gym can be used during the week. A nursery is provided for those wishing to bring their small children to the Contemporary Service.

10 a.m. Sunday school:

We have a Sunday school class for every age group with the exception of special Sundays in which our entire group gathers for combined worship at 10:00 am.  We have one combined service on the third Sunday in November to celebrate Consecration Sunday.

  • Christmas Day {Dec. 25, 2016} and New Years Day {Jan. 1, 2017} will both be on Sundays and we are developing a plan that will suit our families.  We will most likely have a combined service on both occasions and will not have Sunday school.

11 a.m. Traditional Worship in the sanctuary

Parking is located in lots on either side of the church. Enter the doors facing Main Street, where greeters and ushers will provide you with a bulletin. If you need a nursery, you can find it on the first floor of the Family Life Center (FLC), which is the largest building that sits back from Main Street. Follow the covered walkway until you see the entrance doors to the FLC. Enter the building, cross the hallway and go through the next set of doors.

Sunday School

At Memorial, we offer a variety of classes that strive to meet the needs of everyone, from children to adults.

Children’s Classes

Preschool Sunday School for 3's/4's uses Dig In! curriculum with varied activities and experiences to help them embrace the lesson of the week. They will learn the same story on Sunday morning and Sunday night with different activities for each.

Elementary Sunday School (K5-5th grade) follows a rotation model that repeats one lesson, tied to the sermon series, for 3-4 weeks. Each week children rotate to a different activity station to experience the story in a new way, such as Bible Building Blocks (legos), art, drama, music, cooking, Bible games, Bible skills, scavenger hunt, video, and more.

All children’s Sunday School classes meet in the FLC, first and second floor. All second floor rooms are handicap accessible by elevator.

3's/4's Sunday School – the first floor, the third room on the left

K5 and 1st Grade Sunday School – the second floor, the last room on the left

2nd and 3rd Grade Sunday School–  the second floor, the fourth room on the left

4th and 5th Grade Sunday School – the second floor, the last room on the right

Please note that because elementary age children participate in Rotation Sunday School, they will often be picked up at a different location than their drop-of classroom. That location will be listed on the white board outside their primary classroom door.
